Willing Workers!! BE AN ART CENTER VOLUNTEER!!
Please help us keep YOUR Parkersburg Art Center running like a well-oiled machine. We need volunteers in many areas! If you are willing to help at the Art Center from time to time, please stop by or give us a call at (304) 485-3859.
Are you willing to: answer phones, take messages, use the copier, greet visitors, stamp and address mailings, hang art work, clean, help prepare or serve at receptions, type, assist with a class, assist with the art library, work with kids, do minor repairs such as painting, plumbing, dry-wall, carpentry, carpeting, electrical…. WE NEED YOU TO BE A VOLUNTEER!!

Be a Docent!
Docent: “an informed leader and teacher who presents art objects in an exhibit to visitors.”
The docents are a very important group at the PAC. Not only do they conduct all the tours, but they also do many other things:
- Assist in choosing upcoming shows
- Organize fund-raisers
- Create unique things to be sold in the gift shop
- Assist in the hosting of the art openings
The docents meet on the first and third Thursdays of the month at 9:30 AM in the Board Room at the Art Center.
